I should point out that ‘the smell’ hasn’t found its way to Nicks place yet and that a small army of ninjas has been deployed on the roof to counteract the imminent smell invasion, but as a public service announcment to all permanent and transient visitors to nicks place I’m posting this email from a reputable source in Melbourne. Keep your eyes peeled and your nose keen.

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to give you an update on what is happening with regards to “the smell”. Building management have advised there is a meeting scheduled this week between the building owner, hotel owner and CB Richard Ellis, to discuss the cause of the smell and agree on an ongoing action plan.

Once details of the action plan have been issued I will advise you all accordingly.

I’ve started packing. The concrete is down. The tiles are ready. The carpet is good to go. At this time of year the sun stays in the backyard till around 4, then it comes inside. Its tuesday night, and by friday afternoon nicksplace will be ready for business. I have lots of ‘stuff. Not all of it is worth keeping. I don’t even know where some of it came from. worldwide pants?? WTF?

An event that hopefully wont occur, bets on who will try though???

This Saturday was the first of what i imagine will be many many saturday afternoons spent at Nicks place eating fish and chips, drinking beer and sitting in the sun. I think its a good sign that Norms, Tae and I could spend hours at Nicks place with nothing more to entertain us than beer, a yaris and what can only be accurately called beer-dirt roof cricket. Tunes supplied by Toyota and Kenwood, Beers supplied by Thirsty Camel, Food supplied by “that place in Pakenham”, company supplied by Tae and Norms. I think the pictures say the rest. Carpets and Tiles are all in, theres a picture, but its not too clear. Less than 2 weeks to go! I better start packing…

Preparing

Preparations begun last night for the night of mayhem and wonder that approaches us on the 14th of November 2009. Involved where a credit card, a bath tub, Polyvinyl acetate and several other items that can be found around the home… of course, when i say home, i’m refering to the holy grail of homes that will be Nicks place, and god knows what you’ll find in there. Some say, before the concrete was put down, the block smelt like shitake mushrooms, and that on a clear day, the view of the city is blocked by the house across the road.

A morning that in one way or another will happen….
